LOD has the unique capability and experience of modeling the human eye for the design of many types of intra-ocular lenses for human and canine.  Dr. DesAutels has studied much of the anatomy of the human eye and accurately modeled the eye for designing new lenses.  LOD is currently doing research and in process of writing a medical article on the subject of acute myopia relation to retinal detachment due to lack of usable image formation on the retina.
